    New purchase

You couldn't make it up. Spent a long time deliberating (prevaricating?!?!)about which towbar to go for. Mr T was too expensive at a touch under £400. Went for the Witter with legs in the end. There were far cheaper swan neck options using Autohak bars which seem to have a decent reputation...

    New purchase

Nice weekend. Got the stereo in, the rear camera, the aux in lead, and the usb lead/stick:- Ordering towbar tomorrow - awaiting a parts quote from Mr T. I will do an install thread for the radio at some point as I took loads of pics :)

Chaps Received my Fascia plate from amazon and its the wrong damned one. Autoleads' website is also incorrect. The one I got is a full 4 sided thing. Perfect shape match for the dash but on the lc4 (at least) the black plastic is one moulding right from below the clock to past the aircon...

Looking at this I have a feeling the fascia I have on its way for my 120 LC4 could be wrong. Arghhh

    New purchase

Embarrassingly had opened the ty142a instructions twice instead of both types.... Idiot. Tend to agree a spread load is better. Will get one ordered. Thanks flint. Decided on a route for the radio - Halfrauds had a deal on a last-year model Pioneer...

    New purchase

Interestingly Witter only list two bars on their site - one a westfalia ! PF Jones list two witter and one westy but the witter derivatives relate to under vs rear door spare wheel. All just centre mount to rear x member. Becki - which Kenwood model did you buy?

    New purchase

May well do the dedicated wiring loom i think. 82 quid at pfjones, used them before. Not 100% sure whether to do a fixed flange or a swan neck towbar. Similar priced, witter or westfalia. Thoughts? I have a removeable one on the range rover and do like it but boy its noisy with an empty trailer!!!

Anyone got any thoughts on the radio setup?

Ha ha Tony. That Rangey aint going nowhere!!! Love it to bits

    New purchase

Thanks Timbo - I will price the loom. Would prefer not to cut the bumper so will investigate that. The local trimmer I use is very creative with foam/filler etc - the door side bolsters on each front seat are very very poor.

LHD Land cruiser wanted - budget £10-12k

All A good friend of mine is after a land cruiser for his daughter. He already owns an early 100 so knows the breed, as does she. At this point - the brief is this: LHD cruiser, budget £10-12k, must be auto - and needs to be decent, not killed with miles. Not particularly after one thats been...

    90 Autobox strange behaviour

Only just realised i never updated this thread - sorry - issue resolved by a proper ATF & filter change, twice, and a thorough clean of all electrical connections, including all main earths. So I cant definitively say what it was fixed it a - as my pal isnt sure either - however it looks like...

    90 Autobox strange behaviour

So I have queried the overdrive - it's only being used urban at the moment so that could be a red herring. Anyone had any experience of a dicky autobox that has a fault yet not deteriorated at all for years/30k miles? It does make me wonder - anytime I've had a box fault on anything it's got...

    90 Autobox strange behaviour

That's interesting Beau. He is drawn to it being electrical, partly due to o/drive being inop. In terms of it being warm - the one standing minue if from cold ie first run of the day, and only a minute or so. No news on coolant into ATF, prev owner had it 4/5 years, 25 or 30k, always been same...

Colorado 95 VX for reluctant sale - 2 owners from new

Thanks Andy. It's definitely the best one that's been through my hands at this point. Bought a VW Transporter now that I'm getting back to work, looks like it needs injectors but the seats have worn rendering the motor useless. Have had to buy another van to tool about in while I get time/cash...

    Another musician dies

That's superb, I haven't seen that before. Great find on yet another sad day for the performing arts in 2016. Saw him live in Edinburgh, and again in Manchester. Massive presence for such a small chap.
