Hi guys
I have a fault code that relates to the FUEL TEMP SENSOR.
Where on earth is it located???
Is a fuel temp sensor the same as a fuel pressure sensor???????
Ok, did it under in the ODB socket in the drivers footwell.
Showed two codes:
39
51
Since yesterday I'm having another issue as well. The car struggles to start, and you have to give it some gas to start, and if you don't hold the revs manually the revs just drop and the engine switches off...
Ah ok. This has confused me a bit!!
On another forum I saw this: http://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/258484-saved-myself-100-fee.html
Which says you jump E1 and TS pins on the 22 pin socket under the bonnet.
But above says CG and TC pins in the OBDII plug.
Do both methods work??
what's te proceedure for jumping pins??
Right guys I need some clarification on this proceedure please!!
Are you saying that you plug your OBD reader into the normal ODB port under the dash, and then you connect two pins together within the 22 pin connector under the bonnet and then...
I've got Autocom and the only module it can read is the engine via the OBDII port in the drivers footwell.
I think the ABS etc is read from the second port (22 pin) under the bonnet?? I have an adapted cable, but autocome cannot seem to read it :o(
Hi guys
Hope you can help with this one!!
2002 Amazon. Start the car, fine, put it in gear, fine. However, within 5 meters of moving (forwards or reverse) the VSC Off and VSC TRC lights come on (note the engine management light doesn't).
Stop the car. Start it again. No lights. Start to move...
Hi guys
I have a 2002 Amazon, and want to know if a luggage cover from a 2001 Colorado will fit??? (just been offered one)
Are they physcially the same internally??
Someone mentioned two types of load cover: one version for cars with air conditioning, and one for cars without.
Any help very...
Not 100% smooth. A bit bubbly around the edges. Seems the norm on the 4.7 2002 and back, but wondered if they solved it for the facelift.
Assume they did if you've never noticed it :o)
Do you experience a bit of a lumpy idling when in D or R but stationary at 600rpm?
Seems to be a quirk of the 4.7, but wondering if the facelift version after 2002 solved it?
Hi Guys
I've found a very good thread on this. It seems that a fair few people have experience an indentical issue:
http://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/436010-vibration-shake-idle.html
I think this is actually a quirk of the car - and good to see other people experiencing exactly the...
Hi guys
Many thanks for the feedback - very, very much appreciated!!!
Slight update on this - not sure if it affects much but I found this quite interesting.
I bought Wynn's EGR & Valve cleaner, which is a spray product which goes into the air intake whilst holding the revs at 1,500.
After...
Thanks guys
It has 117,000 miles. Should be nothing for a Land Cruiser (it's an Amazon by the way). Had the LPG since 60 or 70 I believe.
Hmmm... Maybe I'll get it back from the garage and check the filters etc. But what about the compression test showing low compression on two chambers? Could...
Hi guys
Yes, the suggest replacing them all at the same time as the valves themselves are not silly money - but the labour is the killer!
Yes,c ould try fuel additive I guess? Couldn't hurt??
Yes, I think also that the previous owner knew damn well the nature of the issue as the spark plugs -...
Hi guys
Just got a early 2002 4.7 VX, which also has a decent LPG conversion.
Gutted as when collecting I noted that it had a bit of a lumpy idle, which completely dissappears when driving. I assumed it was probably the spark plugs as I know LPG burns hotter than petrol and so they get through...
