Medical issues (Thrice broken upper arm) prohibits me from driving my '69 FJ40 without power steering. I am looking to convert to power steering. Thinking the Saginaw but the websites are confusing. Steering column appears to be non-OEM and the engine is a 350 Chevy V-8.

1. Any other systems that convert more easily?
2. What parts do I need? Some include a pump, others say to use a 4Runner pump, still others say to use a Chevy S-10 box and column.

Hi and welcome you can put hj60 landcruiser parts on it good look with it you have to love a 40s .

Agreed Tony but if BearBio is not sure about mix and match then he's probably better off with the complete Saginaw kit for one of the knowledgeable outlets like sor.com or possibly CCOT.

Regards,

Rodger
