hi, the FTE is about to drop into my 02' 79 series and i want to run a top mount intercooler. My first question is can i run the intercooler traditionally straight from the intake and turbo? can all that crossover pipe/sensors?/egr? etc be deleted or will the ecu pick that up and send it in limp mode? or should i just run both intercooler pipes from the left and keep all the crossover stuff on top of the motor? i would like to delete the egr completely also do i need to make fittings on the cooler for any sensors etc?
2nd question is I'm putting the land cruiser V8TD hump/scoop on my 79series bonnet so i want to use a wider cooler 450x230x76 (prefer a thinner cooler if i can find one, even a core and i can make tanks myself) which i can fit exactly twin 9" thermos. Is the cooler TO BIG? lose pressure? will it create turbo lag?
currently have a diesel chip and eventually want to run a GTurbo. If theres a space issue for the cooler + thermos then ill give it bit of body lift if needed.
