Is anybody interested in going to Russia? read all about it at http://www.world4x4.co.uk/tour_details/ ... ussia.html the trip I was planning on doing in August is looking a bit shaky now because two people have dropped out  and the organisers need an absolute minimum of 5 bookings, there are three of us still wanting to go but unless more can be found it will have to be cancelled  plus the other two are in LR's and I need some moral support

That looks absolutely stunning. If we weren't already booked on the Croatia tour the month before we would definitely have been tempted. Maybe next year. Hope you sort it.

Are you going to Croatia with Robb Pritchard? I'm sure he would do a swap for Russia, I've been on three trips to Croatia now and fancied something a bit different, don't get me wrong Croatia is great, but it's more like green laning than Russia sounds as though it's going to be. I shall be very disappointed  if it falls through I had my heart set on this trip.

A bit more than that, where did you get that figure from? on his site page it says;

"Because of the fluctuating exchange rates of this present economical situation, the prices for this tour are given in Euros. EUR 1399 per person.
Price includes…
•Fully guided and supported 9-day off-road tour of Arctic Russia.
•1 day is crossing the border and the last day is sight-seeing and souvenir buying in Murmansk, so 8 full days off-roading...
•Full board!! All accommodation and 3 meals prepared for you a day, for the 9 days.
•Full-time escort, guide and translator all the way from the meeting point in Finland and all through the tour"

I'm definitely up for this trip, providing we can get enough people, I've done three trips to Croatia now with Robb Pritchard and you couldn't wish to meet a more laid back guy, who so far has shown to know his stuff.

Yeh, heard good things about Robb. Cant really swap now as we've planned much of the trip. We're taking a month to explore a bit more of Croatia down the coast and then get the ferry across so we can drive back through Italy and France visiting some of the sights.

Didn't read it properly, that price is in one of the tabs on the right and I was rather confused as these trips.are usually not cheap. Can't afford that chas so I'm out.

I've found it now Rob, that £250 is the deposit for the Russia trip.

Things are looking a bit better now, we have had one more recruit, just need one more, or even more. I can't express just how much I am looking forward to this trip.
:happy-bouncymulticolor: :happy-bouncyred: :happy-bouncymulticolor: that comes close.

Bit late coming in on this one.
I did the Russia trip in 2009. Highly recommended
Robb is a nice guy but has had a few problems over the past couple of years.
The guy he uses in Russia is spot on - highly recommended
If you are having problems booking through Robb them PM me for some advice/options
