Hi together

I was driving today with my HZJ 75 from 1992 4.2l Diesel on the Highway when the "battery" light (0-16V) went on!
As soon as I switch on a load like the lights or so the light goes of!

Can anybody explain to me what the light actually means?

I just put a new radio in and got a new dryer for my aircon but I took the radio out and the light still goes on!

Cheers

Hi and welcome Daudi,

Sounds like it could be a problem with your alternator. Test the voltage at the battery terminals, should be about 14v or a bit more. Try it with and without load. It is also worth pulling the plug off the back of the alternator and checking for/removing corrosion and checking /tightening the terminals.

Then pop on over to the 'introduce yourself' section and tell us a bit about you and your truck [emoji4].

Best wishes

Richard
