Car insurance.

I hear stories of car insurance premiums going down but today "Hastings" renewal for my Golf has increased from £350 to £353. I've never made a claim. What is the flavour of the situation?

Worth shopping around a bit, the comparison sites are great at getting a quick idea of what the market is doing.

My car insurance is due in August and I'm expecting (hoping) for a reduction this year. I've just renewed a bike policy due June 1st and it's come down £250 which is a 38% reduction over last year!

Ours renewed in January, with DL, both cars increased but after finding decent alternative quotes on MSE's comparison site a phone call to DLs excellent call centre soon had things back to reasonable.
£286 this year.
