Hi all,
Let me take a few minutes to introduce myself. I’m a new owner of a 1993 LC80 puppy with 103k miles on it. Well trained but still need to make him clean. I’m working on it! I recently retired to Ecuador and I was looking for a dependable, comfortable on the highway yet capable of attacking mountain roads. I was searching for the perfect truck! And I found it. I had the chance to drive nice vehicle in my life from Mercedes ML350 to Porsche 911. In my twenties I was driving a Kenworth across Canada. And now with my Land Cruiser I can enjoy the sensation of driving a real truck again, with the comfort and luxury on top.
I enjoy doing all my maintenance myself and I am always open to learn from other’s experience.
Here is the work I did since I bought it:
- good wash, compound and wax.
- new leather upholstery on the 3 rows
- fixed the air conditioning
- change the thermostat and the cooling liquid (bye bye water!)
- change the oil and filter
- install a new din2 radio with backup camera.
- changes a tensor pulley.
- adjust and clean the hand brake mechanism.
- and a lot of bolts tightening.
Now that I have a clean start, it will be easy to maintain and follow up.

That’s it for now, here are some pictures of my backyard where I bring my puppy to run! 15km ride from 2000 meters to 3800 meters. And still breathing.

Cheers

Patrice
