Dead alternator or not ?

Took it off clean up connections replaced it and hurray no flickering dash lights - for 1 mile . Stopped to visit someone for half hour and when I got back in the truck found a heap of solid dash lights and batteries are not charging ,

Fusible link at battery looked ok but I cleaned it up anyway and still nothing . I figure it’s been on its way out for a while but to fail instantly and so completely in an instant seems suspect to me so any ideas ?

Nope i occasionally get comments on how quickly she fires up
