Fancy a night on the M62?

I think I may have just stumbled upon the ideal spot for a meet up north.

Thanks to the wonders of FB Marketplace I am spending the weekend alone in a field and woodland down a narrow lane between J22 and J23 of the M62.

Once a month it's used for paintballing - the rest of the time it's deserted except for the occasional camper. The distant hum of the motorway is the only reminder that you're slap bang in the middle of the country. The owner is more than happy for us to have the whole place to ourselves for next to nothing for a weekend.

There is one portaloo. That's it for facilities. No water or power. Acres and acres of land to roam with dogs and kids. Not really suited to driving around but they are working on a track.

With the AO Show next week and Trevor's pub in November this might be one for spring or if anyone fancies a weekend away in October let me know and I'll set something up.

100w eBay jobbie from this seller. Quality seems good for the price but the set up needs tweaking so can't properly judge the performance. I think the battery is passed it.

That's a great find. Some bushcraft and camping. I'd be game come rain or shine. Actually fancy a snow hammock session.
