Its a water drain open it and pump the primer a couple of times , theres also a tap on the other end which is likely open if its leaking .

Sorry didn’t explain properly, it’s perished and split causing a diesel leak and difficult to start. Is it a part or just abit of suitable hose ?
Thanks

Yeah its just hose anything that fits will do .

Halfords stock fuel hose about a quid a metre .

To actually drain the water using that do you just open the tap and the water should come out itself or do you have to pump the primer when the tap is open to get the water to run out?

Must admit I'd never used it before but i can see no other purpose for the up pipe than to give water somewhere to go so i just opened the end upper pipe tap and pump the primer twice .
