Hello from the Republic of Panama. I drive a 2004 Toyota 4Runner with the 3.0 1KZ-TE I4 turbo diesel engine. A brother to the Land Cruiser Prado.

My vehicle has 185,000 km on the odometer. It starts instantly when cold, but requires quite a few cranks to start after it's at full operating temperature and is off for more than a couple minutes. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I replaced the fuel filter, glow plugs and injectors with no noticable change. It doesn't smoke at all. It burns about a quart of oil every 5,000 km.
