KZJ95 Ignition key stuck

Hi All,
I have been doing lots of work on my 98' KZJ95. I brought a remote fob from ebay which arrived yesterday. I printed the re-programme instructions from the section on here. I followed them and when i got to the 'remove ignition key' bit, it won't come out.

Bit stumped. Tried wiggling, giggling, pulling, twisting, but it won't come out.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

OK, Problem solved.

It was pointed out that I had left it in neutral after playing with the handbrake.

Sometimes this can be caused if the steering is pushed hard against an object (eg kerb) and the steering lock has activated in this position.
