I cam across this which looks good.

It's a lot of OS data and maps of various formats which are all free to download. Currently downloading a few GB of maps to see how they work (if they work) with Memory Map.

Well I downloaded about 8GB of the files last night. I'll have a play at some point and see what applications will use them. There has to be something, free or not, which will be of use

They didn't let us have the most useful maps unfortunately, none of the recreational RoW are included.
