running problems

hi thanks for having me Ive got a 1996 8o series Amazon straight six petrol auto land cruiser. Over the last couple of weeks trucks been losing power under load. Fine in park revs up fine. Pulls away fine no throttle response at 1500 -2500 revs push throttle to the floor takes a couple of seconds then launches Pulls up to 20 mph and no more then goes up 40 -5o mph instantly Had a small miss fire so changed plugs ht leads and coil made no difference Can any one help as i have no clue Shes got 214000 on clock owned for 10 years and has not missed a beat cheers thanks for looking Ade

Surprised to be the first to offer a reply given i know sod all about the petrol engine but then i suppose most of us run diesel .

Sounds like fuel starvation to me .
