So I changed the air con condenser last year which gave me the chance to have a good look at the radiator matrix, I’ve seen a lot worse but for peace of mind decided to add it to the “to do” list.
The lockdown seemed to be the ideal opportunity so out it came and seeing the old one ready to bin, curiosity got the better of me and I cut it open to see what the oil cooler looked like (these people who say they were bored during the lockdown clearly don’t own an Amazon!)
So for those of you wondering what the innards of your rad look like , this is 16 years old with 148k on the clock and as far as I know has always been filled with Toyota long life anti freeze, which judging by the condition is a bit of an understatement!
