I have had a look in the search and not found much on fitting a Unichip to an 4.2 TD Amazon. I understand they are actually a piggy back ECU not just a resistor to up fueling and boost.
Has anybody got any experience of these on a LC100 diesel.

You remove the glove box lid and connect the plugs into the ECU.

Thanks very much for that at least I know how to get to the ECU now. Have you driven a Amazon with one fitted T Pot?

Unichip for diesels is called Safari Dtronic. Its been discontinued.
The chip alone will give a small increase in power and fuel economy. Basically stuff all in my experience.
Have a look at the Safari high output kit as a good good power upgrade for the LC100TD

Out of interest, why do you want to fit one?

That is a good question! I do fancy the fact that multiple maps can be run on it. So you could have a good low range towing map and a lean economy may if you are just cruising on the motorway and a bit more go is always welcome. I like modifying things as well. I have a 440HP Saab as well and maybe adjusting back to a normal vehicle is getting to me a bit.
