Hi my name is Norbert,

i have a 2010 V8 76 series that goes into " temporary limp mode " under full acceleration, usually happens when going into 2nd or 3rd gear with a fast gear change, limp mode clears itself without switching engine off,
no codes whatsoever, also does this stationary and then only goes to 3000 revs, if i accelerate slowly it's all good
checked so far:

- accelerator pedal ( swapped )
- turbo charger solenoid & checked linkage not being stuck
- map filter

I'm near Perth / Australia

many thanks in advance

Norbert

Your problem brings to my mind the fuel cutoff limp if you over boost a 1KZ-TE . A Toyota safety feature that probably lives on

thanks Shayne, it does the same with the MAP sensor disconnected, i thought about overboost but going by scan tool ok

well I don’t know your engine at all but the only other thing I can think of is a lazy fuel compensator , and modern engines being all digital I doubt you have one .

Spill control valve ?

Maybe the fuel air ratio is just to lean , running out of fuel would prompt no codes
