OK - I have been reading that oil could go to $250 - that could double the price of diesel.
So I think it is about time to revisit running my trusty 1998 Amazon VX 4.2TD - one of the first official vehicles in the UK and owned from new - on veg oil.
I don't have the time to make Biodiesel, or collect used veg oil, so am looking to run it on pure veg oil from the cash and carry.
I know there are issues in the Winter due to viscosity, but can I run the 'Cruiser on PVO in warmer weather or do I still need a conversion?
Could I run it on a mix of some diesel and the majority PVO to thin it out?
I am surprised we can't get an additive to add to PVO in our tanks to achieve the right viscosity etc.
Anyway - all advice most welcome.
p.s. - If anyone knows where I can get a drivers door and rear bumper, please let me know - ideally Silver Pearl
Thanks.
