I am new to Land Cruisers. I am going to look at 1996 without locking axles on Wednesday. What are the main items to look for? I am in Montana. It is supposed to be rust free. Where are the most prone places or special areas to look for rust? It has a lot of miles but not concerned about motor. How about axles? I know these are tough and pretty bullet proof vehicles. We want to have it to drive up here when we want to. Not everyday. The price is really good even if I find something mechanical wrong. It has had the top end rebuilt and he says it runs well. What would be something to just walk away from? Any help would be very helpful! Thanks!
