Hi.
Driving home from work this arvo Outbound down wellington rd, and saw a landcruiser ute (new) with boxes n stuff on the back heading the other way.

On the front was a contraption i have never seen before.
It was under the bonnet what ever it was, because the bonnet had a big square mould on it with air vents in a number of places, sat probably 100 mill high from where the standered bonnet would be and took up a fare amount of space accross it. ...maybe 1mtr square.

It loosely reminded me of the big aircon units some old cruisers had on the roof...

Anyone have an idea what it was?

Were you anywhere near Millbrook by any chance?

They use something like you describe for engine inlets on the salt water bath runs, which are failrly deep. Usually fitted to cars with low bonnets I might add.
