essentially - we're going to have a barbie - the cure-all, because with the tjop (lamb chop) usually goes a 'dop' - or a small sherry ;) Thus the 'dop en tjop' - very popular on a Friday evening after a loooong week!

Think I'll pick up some boerie (and biltong naturally) on the way home.

mm - sounds good - I've some in the freezer, so will haul that out for tomorrow, rain or no sodding rain

I have had my (English) inlaws round for a braai. 2 spots of rain and I was out there by myself!? Felt like a BBQ not a braai.

Quickest way to defrost boerie is in hot water in the sink. Doesn't matter if water gets in (just makes more juices). Defrosts in no time at all.

Good reason to celebrate with a braai - our half-South African tennis player, Mr. Federer, has made it to the Wimbledon final for the 8th time.
He'd be bloody Swiss if he'd lost though

 I'm in trouble now - Federer or Murray?? Hmmm ....
