Interesting trip. How long did it take to get to Dakar?

The patient made a full recovery, thankfully the pre-emptive treatment saved the worst of the blistering, he is scarred from it but little compared to what it might have been.

It took us 5/6 weeks including all the stopping off, ski trip etc. It can be done in 2 1/2 - 3 weeks easily if your not one for stopping off & relaxing. We spent 4 days at the Zebrabar in Senegal. Total cost was £1700 including buying the car & flights home for two of us. We mostly brought our own food along.

The Volvo sold for £1400 equivelant in the Gambia though obviously that all went to Charity.
