Oil change problem

Hi All,I am a new member but have been watching and reading in the background for a while now. I normally change my oil every 5000 kms and am doing one now, the problem is I have drained the cartridge holder and only a cupful of oil has come out, I then removed the filter holder and paper filter but no more oil! The dip stick shows that the oil is still in the sump, any one had this experience? I might have to take off the sump on this one.Bob57http
