Yes, I did consider something like that at one point. Tent is a pain to get on and off. It's just the arm extension he's selling not the engine hoist itself.

Ahh right. It obviously helps if you have the engine hoist already. That said they are cheap enough second hand . Having seen the Idea it wouldn't be too big a job to knock an extension like that up.
