Sorry for the delay - too busy.

Will set up a webpage and then post some pics so expect to see something in 2015!

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic to do a couple of jobs on my '40.

Cheers

As promised, a few photos of one of the few BJ's in London Village I'm keen to actually take it off road so if anyone is heading out laning then PM me, something easy to start as I don't want to b*gger up my truck just yet.

Cheers

Nice truck - you should start a thread in the garage section

Gentlemen,
Can I ask your help? I live in Romania and I have a 1978 FJ40 which I have owned since new and which I recently brought to Romania from the UAE where it spent most of its life so far. (Its website is www.vimeo.com/FJ40.)

I need some spare parts for it, in particular an oil cooler and some bushes for the leaf springs. As far as I can tell, there are no other FJ40s in Romania and there is no source of spare parts.

I'm in London right now, looking for a supplier who might have these parts. On this site I came across the name David Stone of Classic Cars in Southampton, but his numbers don't work anymore.

Can anyone direct me to a supplier, anywhere in the UK?

with thanks

Bob,

There are almost no spares at all in the UK. I have seen the bushes and other spares on French ebay. FJ's were officially imported in France but never in the UK so they have spares.

The green goddess has been said goodbye to Old Blighty and now happily resides in a barn in a rural part of France where she is much happier carrying wood around and pretending to be a tractor.

One less FJ in London
