Cruise control....??

The main issue for the kz is that it is a mechanical throttle, so an actuator would be required to operate cruise, as opposed to the kd being fly-by-wire so a simple electronic signal does that job. I would hazard that chopping parts off an 80 might be possible, but that's based on nothing but a thought... a level of work that's just not worth it if you ask me.

Cruise is brilliant, and I love having it on my kd, but if it wasn't a straightforward job, I probably wouldn't have done it

5VZ is a mechanical throttle. Could they have used the same actuator for both the 1KZ and the 5VZ?

thank you for this information BOB ... it is actually a European model.
I therefore order parts and find them by their arrival!

thank you for your proposal to come help me, I would have received you with great pleasure!

where did you find the cable? I'm searching for hours to find the cable on my european model (LHD), 2002 D4D 90 series. Can't find it anywhere and with the fuse box there, there's no room for my hands.

I cannot find the switch cable above the pedals. The main harness is almost unreachable with all the other things... fuse boxes steering,...

Any recommendations to where to search exactly ?

An 2002 kdj 90 (3 doors) euro (Belgium) spec

I know removed the instrument panel to look at it from above but even here I don't really see a connector. The only one i found is a 4 pin connector with 2 pink and 2 purple wires.

Just half an hour later I noticed something behind the fusebox, I just saw a piece of the connector. Losening up the fusebox en cutting the little piece of tape and i got it!
