How many miles on the belt? Was it Toyota supplied? Looks like the camshaft has seized thus stripping the teeth off the belt?
Be very interested in what you find.
My condolences.
I don't think it necessary to remove the spinning tin tube from the locking nut. Hammering the extractor on would soon chew through that to the head of the bolt. Not sure if the extractor would chew into Toyota locking wheel nuts. They may well be hardened.
Back in the day (70's) a firm in West Bromwich used to make my springs for me. They just needed a pattern. About £6 each. I wonder if such firms are still about.
The centre dif prevents wind up re front and rear axles. The VC runs in parallel with the centre dif so if it detects front axle going faster than rear it locks up so drive is restored to the front until a normal patch of road is reached and the VC disconnects. Works the other way round as well...
Surely he was referring to "high beam warning light"? Be good to see what he has written on his report. He fills in a tick box report and cant see why there would be a box referring to dipped beam warning light.
