There was some really bad hail around here a few months ago. Hundreds of cars trashed. A friend of a friend bought a brand new FJ Cruiser ....collected in the morning and took it to work...2 hours later it had massive hail damage

Funny we've got a crude early warning system by BBM going.... when people get hail everyone knows straight away and there is a mad dash to get cars under cover

Have you seen the floods in the Eastern Cape??? Good grief - huge amounts of water in the streets there. Crazy stuff ...

Yes, that brings back memories. I remember (when I was lucky enough to be driving on the motorway) going like crazy to shelter under the fly-overs until the storm passed, assuming there was space 'cause everyone else was doing the same thing. Boy, when those big ones came down....
