If your having a bad day, someone is always having a worse one!
Lad at work slipped off the clutch pedal and drove into his own tool box!! Made a bit of a mess.

I did say could've been worse, he could've driven into my tool box lol.

In a customers car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep in a customers car! Could've been even worse and been in his own car!!
Luckily the top box didn't fall off and land on the bonnet!! It went off to the body shop for a new bumper etc. Customer was ok about it, gave them a car and it'll be repaired at our cost.
Phil has to buy a new box!

If that's a snap on then it ain't going to be cheap, bet he's more careful in future.

Going back a few years there's a garage close to my workshop that had a four poster ramp, the old mechanic drove an auto onto it & also somehow cocked the pedals up & drove at some speed straight off the back of the ramp straight through the gable end wall. building was declared unsafe & had to close for about two months.

If i book my truck in for an oil change Gary how much do you want to accidentally drop a bucket of paint stripper on it :icon-wink:

It was a Mac tools roll cab! He only started last month with us, he was a but worried but manager said shit happens. We've had much worse happen in the past to cars!! We have a budget for damage tbh, 40 plus cars a day and that's a quiet day, accidents happen so we need to just deal with it without fuss!

Seen cars tip off ramps, wiper arms dropped through windscreens, car with a door open on the ramp let down onto another car with the door open etc etc, first crushed tool box though!!

I think I'd cry if I did it to my box tbh, I went mad when the cleaner piled a load of stuff on top and scratched the lid! Made the company buy a new lid which was about £300!! (Yes a do polish my tool box and keep it tidy)

Shayne our cleaners could prob sort that out by cranking the jet wash temp up lol. Wouldn't be the first time!!

This is why I'd be gutted if happened to mine :icon-biggrin:

Tool chest looks great but your bog roll holder needs a little more finesse

Didn't realise you had to buy your own tools/box even when working for a main stealer......... everyday's a school day as they say!

After I hit a certain car manufacturers workshop wall one of their mechanics said to me "I did wonder why my toolbox suddenly shot across the workshop"

Some places have built in boxes but only a box, you put your tools in. I've got a few quid sat there (box alone was over 3k) every drawer is full, the cabinet on the side has 3 shelves and 4 drawers too, all full with tools. I don't like to borrow stuff (if I need to borrow something it'll only be once) it's 56" wide and weighs a bloody ton! Costs more to insure every year then the 80 and beemer combined!! (My work no longer pay to insure them due to cost cutting)

Bet they all jumped when you went through Chas!

One bloke wasn't quick enough, a flying brick needed him having stitches in his arm, they all took it quite well apart from him.

My lad went for an interview at the Bmw dealers in Yeovil last Thursday, he came back really enthusiastic as he's only worked in small garages before, fingers crossed.

We've been buying him tools as we go along, and Ive got lots - went a bit mad with the Machine Mart catalogue a couple of years back!

It's got 'Snap-On' written on it........Did you think it would be reasonably priced??:icon-rolleyes:
