unsure as to what sort of and how many dogs you have, but i suspect that grill could be used as a proper person holding cell by most police forces in the northern hemisphere.

Was this made on order by the KGB ?

Regards

....well Iceman ..maybe not gold, but pretty substantial all the same....I'm sure worth every penny to the right person mate but a bit rich for me :0)

How close does it sit up against the rear seat? I've only got about 1 1/2 inch between the seat back and the drawer system....

Lund as you can see I use it with my drawers and seats fold back no prob. I'll be at the Overland show on Sunday you can see for yourself if you fancy. PM me we can chat.

Iceman, PM sent, see you at the overland show!

Genuine dog guard detail

I have a genuine guard and fittings but after installing my drawer system it obviously didnt fit so I only use it when the drawers are removed. I basically used it as a template to make a top-half and it locates into two recessed holes in the top plywood of the drawers. I used the same sized tubing so the thumb adjusters on the original guard could still be used on top.

If I remember right it is 22mmOD tubing, 10mm solid bar around the perimeter and 1" mesh. 2" mesh is a lot cheaper but I dont think it looks as good. I just sprayed it with 2 pack black paint and it has lasted well.

I have been meaning to measure it all up with angles etc and post on here so anyone can use it as a template, so if you are not in a hurry...

...that,s spooky...same reg (K)and same colour ... :0)

Intersected mate ...where are you?

PM'd ya

Apologies to all- I am not selling the guard its just there for ref for anyone who wants to make one. The solid 10mm bar is easy to bend to form a continuous perimeter....

Hello to all, I needed a dog guard/ luggage restraint, I went to a local Firm who made market stalls, they made me one to my design, ( scruffy drawing) from lightweight 1 inch sq tubing. Used all existing location points, cost £30, plastic end caps where necessary, I should have had it done in half inch. But it has served me well, oh, I had to paint it. I don't have a dog. If I were to do again, I might go for a lockable cage type for security, so if I have to leave the car it'd be like a giant safe. Not impregnable just to make it more awkward for the toerags. Just my tuppence worth, best regards to all, Bill Westley
