Fuel tank removal

Well been pretty busy on the old rust bucket again. Last week saw the o/s chassis to axle mount get welded on and also some new adjustable trailing arms made. Today set about removing the fuel tank for access to the other side. Looking at the straps I thought there's no way on earth and of these will come undone-i was wrong, bit of wd and all 4 came out! The plug came off just as it should and no green wires in sight! The floor also appears in good nick, chassis appears good apart from on the lower seam just infront of the mount. This will need cutting out and repairing but such is life Eh!

Does anyone happen to have a tank gaurd? Mine's seen better days and not really offering much "gaurd" anymore

Hi Josh! i stumbled across your pictures. I may need to remove my tank as i've got problems with fuel pressure; and i have to confess i dropped the a plastic tube off the end of the jerry can in to the tank.... not sure if this is blocking flow. Getting the fuel tank off sounds like a bit of a pullava but i see you managed.

Any hints / tips? I've heard there is a 'remove the tub option' or a 'jack it and remove the drive shaft option'?? Neither sound quick and easy.
