Dropped some parts off for a mate weekend gone. He does a lot of work on 80s.

hes a great lad, very knowledgeable. always end up having a load of brews around the 40 gallon drum fire.
 
If you ever happen to be Biggin Hill way keep an eye for a smart crew cab 3 axle 80 , was converted years ago but looks good still.
Have it in mind to build a 3 axle camper with a pop top when I finish restoring the Halftrack .

Given that Toyota persisted with the leaf sprung 70 series, whilst Nissan offered the GU Patrol with coils all round (as well as a Coil/Leaf option), I'd say more like a Pootrol...

Cut down wagon's aren't uncommon over here, quite a few get dual cab or extra cab cuts though instead of a single cab chop.
