If you compare both pages one says 4.2 psi and the other says 43 psi 'at idle' so I think it must be a Toyota typo as all other values are very similar 'at idle'
'Toyota Typo', could be the name of their next (dare I say it) electric car
I don’t think it is a typo. The 1HD-FT manual gives the same min figures at idle and 36-87 psi at 3k. Mine shows 21 psi at idle stinking hot (on a seperate mechanical capillary gauge) which equates to the second mark up on the OEM gauge. The 1H series are very old design lazy engines in quite a low state of tune and can obviously survive on quite low oil pressure compared to modern highly tuned units running huge boost and injection pressures to get more power from engines half the size. Hit the nail on the head. 29 Kilopascal is not 43 psi
Could be very confusing for a novice.
The reason I raise the point, is that I was sitting at the lights wating for them to change yesterday, and happend to glance at the oil pressure guage (as you do) it was on the lowest mark, and when I saw 43 psi at idle in the FSM for a Diesel, and 4.2 psi for the Petrol, I thought there must be something wrong, then I realised it was a misprint and should read 4.3 psi at idle not 43psi for a Diesel.
