I have tech stream and a suitable cable, I can get the system to connect to the vehicle but then it asks me to choose one of a series of codes, does anyone happen to know what the correct one for a D4D KDJ120 would be please?

I didn't have any luck with my '03 either. Created posts in a few places with no luck.

Out of interest, what year is yours and what version of the techstream are you using?
I came to the conclusion that mine was just too old to work - but that's not been verified by anyone who *knows* :confusion-shrug:

Those codes are year and month of manufacture. So 0908-1007 is from Aug 2009 to July 2010 production. I see there are a few overlaps, which can be tricky. Some models/series have no overlaps at all.

Thanks for the replies. My truck is an 05 model KDJ120. The vin lookup pages I've used don't show a manufacture year or month but it was first registered may 2005. Im using tech stream version 12.20.024, running in virtual box on a Mac. It seems to connect fine and recognise the vehicle.

That's an easy one then, -0608 is your code, up to August 2006. Looks like the first variety of the series.
