Abs sensor issue

Hi folks. Abs light came on.
Checked sensors
Ns front sensor was dead
Changed the sensor ans now the timing belt and battery symbols have lit up on the dash.
Can anyone help? Thanks.

My guess would be it’s nothing to do with the sensor which is now fixed and simply coincidence . Bad earth somewhere , corrosion of taillights and tow socket are typically prime suspect .

I replaced the sensor and the abs light was still on . Drove it 50 metres and other lights came on. Then while idling I gave it a little rev and at 2.5k rpm the two new lights flickered off and on once

A bad earth can cause the strangest of light displays on the dash and the rear lights exposed as they are behind the bumper are prone to corrosion , just removing the bulbs might give you a clue . When the tow socket corrodes inside it does the same because it hooks into the main wiring loom .

Tore my swb 90 apart trying to find the cause of an abs light and eventually worked out it was the clockspring in the steering wheel had failed .

Just tried to start it this morning and now it's almost dead.

So you have a short draining the battery , could be anywhere but but tow socket and rear bumper lights are common culprits for a multitude of electrical gremlins in the 90 series .

For me the alternator would be third on the list , again for corrosion causing poor contact .

Any idea how it can access the connectors on the rear abs sensors?
