Anybody fitted an appropriate bracket to take the spare?
I don’t want the added weight and expense of a dedicated rear bumper mounted version.

Much ado about nothing me thinks just get a tyre carrier from a 90 series and bolt it to a plate inside the body .

AU ones had sub tank as standard though in the later model years of the 150 it was possible to factory option the deletion of the sub tank and then the spare would be mounted underneath.

There aren't too many like this though, at least 95% have the sub tank and door mounted spare.

Ah-make sense! Cheers

What's wrong with the under floor one anyway? Are you looking to put a sub tank in?

Hello Springate's, did you manage to accomplish this?

Encountering the same issue, I have a 2022 150, LHD for me as I'm in Switzerland and I'm looking to change the tailgate from flat to wheelback.

Hi.
Not yet. I’m delaying going up to a 33” wheel for now, so keeping the spare in the original position. I’ll probably tackle this next year.
This year’s pocket money has been set aside for a winch!

Thanks for the info. If it helps you when you revisit it next year I'll post what solution I come up with.

From my research so far for a full tailgate replacement it seems there are two main options: either OEM or non-OEM from alibaba.com or similar. As with all things Toyota Land Cruiser Australia seems to have the widest and best options. Even with shipping costs for me it'll likely be cheaper to import from there a full door replacement, whether that's OEM or second hand. I've reached out to some local dealerships and 2 European Toyota breakers to see what they can provide.

At the moment I have an on-board compressor so I plan to deflate my spare to fit it underneath the car in the original position.

I'll let you know how any tailgate replacement goes.

Will be good to see how you resolve this-look forward to developments.
The onboard compressor is a good work around.
