    My Land Cruiser 90

MOT history looks good with no mention of the dreaded " corrosion " in it's advisories. I'd say it's a £4k vehicle. . Just my opinion of where the trade for these is.

Great looking piece of kit but they are mighty molehills you have on your lawn

    It’s bye for now!

I remember viewing that years ago somewhere in the North west, Liverpool way I think. Really good truck, should have squirrelled it away.

Yep my "go to" tyre of the moment, have them on the Collie and the Hilux. Will have them on the 120 when the GG AT2s ever get near the legal limit. I've had them on 9 years ( 50K) and been impressed but can't wait to change them for the YOKO'S.

    Petrol 120 2003

I tried one a while ago but it was an 09 plate with the five speed auto. I had had my 05 LC4 a couple of years by then but was curious to see if the difference between the current petrol and diesel was comparable with my comparison of my 02 D4D VX Collie and my 3.4 V6 Collie. Comparing the...

We're 50/50. Nothing planned for the weekend so it might be a day out to get a few ideas. Let me know Stu later in the week.

    Don't tempt providence.

You will do, to the first and second owners they were just a disposable item, why would they be concerned with rust prevention? By which time it's too late for rust preservation.

    Don't tempt providence.

It was quite a quest 6 years ago. Looked at numerous 120's but this was really in great nick. Larupped the underneath several times in WD motorbike chain lube it really has preserved it.

What we do at weekends whenever we get the chance.

Right, had a dash cam for the first time and put ( well my secretary actually who is a wizz with this editing lark). We videoed the trip and edited it down to a short clip. Please ignore the line across the picture as we met a pheasant with not enough lift. Sorry there's no sound but we're...

    Sunroof queries

If its a 95 it could be a UK spec VX or GS, the sunroofs are different on each or it could be a grey import, I take it its a diesel? At year 95 only JDM imports could possibly have a fridge but it's rare, the 12V imports ( pre 95) quite often had a fridge in the centre console which worked from...

    Sunroof queries

The only variation from the VX factory fitment I've seen are the ones fitted to the "GS" models which I think were dealer fitted. As I recollect opening them didn't involve blood loss.

Me neither, have fitted a few for folk and had zero side effects.

    Hello from Worcestershire

If it's their demonstrator, all dealerships are not allowed to sell theirs before 2026. It's where high end car dealers ordered one and if they got one ask a premium price for something virtually unobtainable.

    CANbus theft.

A Ghost immobiliser will hold up an attempted theft almost indefinitely. I have one on the latest acquisition, along with a Ghost tracker and a Diamond Edition Disklok. Apart from the faff of the button sequence, which becomes second nature I can't see a negative for having one, especially given...

Splitting the transfer from the main gearbox

The top starter motor bolt/ nut can be a bugger to get to easily. Get a 3' half inch drive extension with a universal joint and appropriate socket and undo it standing in front of the truck. I think it's a stud and nut from memory. Removing the stud can make it easier for reassembly as there...

    Don't tempt providence.

Probably suffering from a little " commentator's curse" here. Having in conversation been extolling the virtue's of our 120, telling everyone how good and reliable it was, providing every day transport for Maria, comfortable etc about a month ago I had by chance a drive in it. Now i'm not...

    Hesitation on my V6 Collie

Toyodiy tells me that's what should be on mine. Maybe in a previous life ( when it had a front end bump) a second hand air box off a different year was cobbled in as part of the repair. It works though.

Looking for a UK supplier of a Turbo kit HJ60 2H engine

Fine looking truck there John. My first observation is, would it fit on a LHD model. I can't quite remember how much the turbo intrudes into the void . All of the five I have had have been RHD versions where there is obviously a lot more space available. I can also ask the last two buyers if...

    Hesitation on my V6 Collie

I got a genuine one from Ebay from a seller in the Philippines. it was about £50 posted. They are from £25 from Amazon but I went genuine. One thing to bear in mind is that they changed type somewhere around mid 99 so it's worth taking your part number as a reference. Toyodiy said mine should be...

Challenge, Cruiser on the road for under a grand.

Update on the Collie V6. This has been off the road for a year now. Primarily as the hesitation on pickup was an annoying (now fixed) trait and also I needed to rebuild the air con system as some of it was missing due to an accident it had had sometime during a previous life. Also although it...
