Forgive my ignorance but how does that help? Is this just cooler air is more dense? Air at altitude is pretty cool anyway, certainly compared to the lowlands, so not sure an inter cooler makes a big difference does it! Thanks

I have this on my 80. V hard to see source but now think it must be the sunroof. Asking around the main recommendation is to just Tiger Seal the sunroof. I am reluctant to do that even though I rarely open it.

Probably you have thought of this and decided not to go this route but when I had PS Pump problems a few years ago on my 80 I bought a whole new pump from Milner’s for about £100/120 and just swapped it over. Been working fine. Quick and easy to do.

it may be marginal but isnt distilled water better than tap which has minerals (admittedly not much) in it if you are going to mix your own?

Hi Thanks for that. I found out the right number is 450 grams. Mine does use R 134. Yes depends on ambient air temp too to get right high/low,pressure. For info the 1995-99 Kia two litre uses exactly the same denso compressor ie compatible for a change out if needed.

Ah really Ok will try a long delay. Normally I have just waited for the glow plug light to go out. Normally about 3 seconds. I will wait longer and see if I can hear a click. (This is a new thing so may imply glow plugs are reaching the end of their lives?) Thanks

Good thread Felix. I see he never wrote up the conclusion after garage work. Have tried to nudge him even though it’s such an old entry. I think if I disconnect the glow plugs it won’t start at all. Or am I missing something? Or are they not required above 10 degrees C? Cheers

Hi I am traveling on a long trip and I think I have a glow plug issue. Does anyone know the part number for the glow plug for the 1HZ engine? It’s a 2006 troopy normally aspirated (no turbo) engine. Many thanks

How would this work? Hot high pressure diff suddenly cools thanks to the water and lowers its pressure sucking in water past axle seals? But deffo agree that taking out existing oil for an inspection is unavoidable.
