Hi
I have bought two manual grease guns and after 6 months or so neither of which work well. Both leak grease in many places and neither feels airtight when pumping grease so relatively little grease ends up in the car as intended. Also in both cases the spring-loaded plunger doesn’t hold “open” while I refill the cartridge. First was a cheap one but next one was a decent brand that also doesnt work.
Any recommendations on a decent one that actually works? Thanks in advance.

I went through a spell of buying crap ones and regretting it , spent enough to wish i'd bought a Milwaukee electric which are ace .

Ended up with what i think is a Laser tools gun (its not on hand) which seems fairly robust enough to last a while .

Plus use the refill tubes of grease rather than messing about filling the gun up manually. I think you get less airlock this way. Plus more grease where you want it and not everywhere else!

I use an Ashton branded gun which is virtually identical to this one except mine has a flexible hose.............GREASE GUN
Can't remember exactly when I bought it but it must be 25+ years ago.

The one I got from Amazon was around 20£ and worked only once. This year I got another one just before greasing. They look good and strong and come with all fittings but since I only use once a year, they might be getting struck and unusable so decided to get one every time. I also got some extra coupler fittings.
If you are anywhere near me, you could take and use. I won’t need them till next year

I am sure all those electric grease guns are great but really don’t want to spend £300 on one. I try to keep,to the greasing schedule but just don’t do it enough to justify that outlay.

One of these might make what you’ve got good
