I had similar on my auto a few years ago driving up the ramp on the ferry to Bilbao, after I went into low, same noises etc but no drive in h or l, forward or reverse, just horrendous noise! swapped the transfer box thanks to Karl on here getting me one pronto, & all was ok, and still is Andy

I’ve had no issues at all with the fuel,

I just tee’d into the fuel line under the truck for the pump etc to the heater, and took a separate 12v supply from my leisure batteries. one of the best mods I did! Andy
