    Injector recall...how do you check?

Not for me ( mines been done)... My mates just bought an 08 120...how does he check if it's had the injector seals done? Phonecall or on line?

Front and rear power points (for fridge)

I remember reading that too...sadly can't remember where, or how to! I've bought piggyback fuse holders to wire a permanent live usb out, when I get round to it. You could always go down that route.

    120 with Safari roof???

Iirc I have seen a post about a European country with massive savings on taxes for campers? Fitting a pop up roof bed qualifies. I've definitely seen a 120 with an elevating roof.

    D4D variants

I've got the 163 bhp lc4 manual with a lindop chip ( the one you splice into the throttle) I've had it fitted years (5?) With no issues. It has 3 settings, I usually run it on the middle setting, or have it on full for towing. I've had it that long I can't remember what the car was like before...

    Looking for a new tent

If you change your mind, I can highly recommend the oztent. I've had one for years: they're superb. Admittedly they do need to go on the roof. I use mine in a long roof box if security is an issue. If anyone is tempted mines sort of for sale... Rv4, front and sides plus solar fly, £650, £700...

    17" Hilux steel wheels on a 120...

Straight swap? I've got the chance to buy some at a fair price, and I've got a set of spare road tyres lying around. Almost everything I've read says yes, anyone care to confirm that before I buy? Also, will my wheel nuts be ok with steels? Iirc a long time ago when I had a defender I had...

Thanks for the firestryker link... I've bought one, and it's now fastened to the cargo barrier over the drivers side passenger seat. Hopefully I'll never need to use it.

    Happy motoring

Lol, plenty bad backs here! Driving can be a nightmare for me too: I can get very comfy in the 120 though. The electric seat is almost infinitely adjustable...which is great, until someone moves it, which means it takes forever to get it back where it was!!! Why no memory seat:sob:

    Aux power with ignition off

I've been at home all day with manflu, web browsing...and found this: It's a piggyback fuse holder! I've never heard of them, but it fits the pradopoint description of piggybacking a permanent live fuse, so I've ordered a few. I'm going to fit a permanent live usb out on the dash, and one in...

    Aux power with ignition off

I remember reading something on another forum (pradopoint?) About bridging something in the fuse box to make the cigar lighter permanent live? Looked simple in the post. I toyed with the idea, but the chance of a flat battery put me off!

LED Light Bar for a 120?

I have a 17" eBay Cree led light bar mounted as illustrated ( along with a pair of lightforce 170's. The bumper is plastic, but I've used 2" washers on the underside (access is tight!!!!) And had no issues. The lightforces have been on years, and the led bar over six months. I can't post...

Central Locking not working in the morning

I have the same issue! I put it down to the key battery, but cannot understand why... When I get to the car in the morning ( or evening if I am on nights) it can take a few presses to get the door unlocked. Once it has opened once or twice it works fine. Works perfectly on the key!

Bought One at Last! LC4 2005, 55, FSH, Now Need full Service help?

Re. Air filters... I've had my 120 a long time, and bought a k&n a couple years ago, on the advice of West coast offroad. Considering they're a lifetime product the price wasn't too bad. I know there are cons to a k&n, but I've got the part no. If anyone wants to but one.

    Fire in the Engine Bay

As a 20 yr fireman I'd say you're going to struggle with a hand held extinguisher with anything substantial! Stop quickly, turn off the ignition, and give it your best go with whatever you carry. I'd be looking to disconnect the battery asap, and call 999. Maybe consider fitting a master cut...

    Looking for a light bar

Just be aware they are VERY BRIGHT!!! My light bar is 17", and IMO verging on too bright for road use (I have it wired into the main beam) . I also have a set of lightforces, but they are just about redundant. I have to say, despite mine only costing £25 ish off eBay I am very happy with it...

My 140K mile driver's seat base it getting a bit tired: compared to the passenger seat it's very soft. Has anyone replaced theirs? I've done a quick google search, with little success. I'm guessing it's a purchaseable item from toyota though. Failing that, are seat foams 'handed' l/r? is a...

    Stainless Exhaust?

Update on this: I bit the bullet and paid for a stainless. It cost £294 fitted for a fabricated system in stainless from http://www.lathommotorcraft.co.uk/ in West lancs. They were great to deal with, and re-used the original tailpipe section, as it was still in good condition. As subsequent...

Anyone removed their cat? feedback wanted

Thanks. There's a place local to me who fabricate exhausts, a cat back system using my old (but perfect) tail pipe is just under £300 fitted, so the price sounds good. I'm just a bit wary of removing or destroying a good cat without good reason.

Anyone removed their cat? feedback wanted

I'm about to have a "cat back" stainless exhaust fitted. For an extra £100 (ish) they will remove the internals of the cat, and fit a pipe straight through the empty body: for mot puropses it will look stock. It's a 2003 D4D, 140k miles, running a lindop chip. I'm not looking for earth...

    Stainless Exhaust?

My 2003 lc4's original exhaust lasted until november 2014..the replacement back box has lasted 26 months. I'm not at all happy: it had a minor leak in november at mot, which would have been withing the typical 2 yr warranty most exhaust manufacturers give. 2 months later it's corroded to the...

    Rv2 Which stretcher fits?

I've got an RV3, and the Goanna stretcher fits OK. I got my ozbed free with a subscription to a magazine years ago. IMO you'll get a similair camp bed for a lot less: there's nothing special about the Goanna...It's just a robust steel framed camp bed.
