Well purchased a new 5m bell tent today, was on eblag with free postage but relatively local to me so went and picked it up, so haggled that he had no postage and got it for a steal ( well going by what I've seen ) £400 cash. Will be giving it the first outing at lincomb :)

    Winch shopping

Had a superwinch EP16500 on the disco, beast of a winch that was slow but could single line pull anything :) did upgrade the motor to a bowmotor 1 and run it with 12mm dyneema, wanted something that had a faster no load speed this time so went for the goodwinch, used the superwinch mostly for...

    Winch shopping

The thing that swung it for me was the brake being at the end and not in the drum, using rope rather than cable that's a big plus, last winch was a superwinch and it melted the bottom layer even with shield on it, think the lower end of superwinch is also made on China these days

    Winch shopping

Haven't had to test mine under a good load, will use a snatch block alot of the time though as found it's nearly as quick as doesn't sap the batteries ànd working easier, there's always a bowmotor 2 as upgrade lol ( faster and more powerful )

Interesting 80 on eBay 24v auto

Who is doing what maintenance today?

If you have the rod vertical it will arc to the side and burn the flux off so building up on that side ( thinner metal will heat up quicker so become easiest route for arc ) need to come in splitting the angle between plates and 30 deg back should give you a better result

Who is doing what maintenance today?

Fitted new window rubbers today, I've now got working windows :) 24 year old rubbers had become hard plastic lol

    project LC80

There is some original brackets on the bar, then there's box section welded to that and then mounts welded to box section, plan is to cut box/mounts off original brackets leaving them there, see if I can weld a bolt to the box section so can be put on when needed :) well that's the plan lol

Loss of power under hard acceleration

There's probably a manifold pressure sensor ( boost pressure ) that could be giving false readings, I don't know about this model but have experience with general vehicles, might be worth a look, if it was reading too much boot it would put it into limp mode, might be worth a look

They are high lift jack points ( tube adapter ' less chance of slipping' ) and you can see the high lift jack clamps on top of bar but won't be putting high lift jack on while driving on road
