Not a clue on chemistry but I'm using Millers Diesel Sport additive on every fill for all my vans and cars. Bought by the gallon for about £70. 1 ml treats 1 litre so works out pence per dose. Increases the cetane of the fuel giving more power and economy that way more than pays for the gallon...

I'd use waste oil, applied when it's hot... a little at a time though as it'll probably catch. Would've thought it'd oil blacken it. I often do it after welding stuff whilst it's still really hot and it keeps the rust down. Might have to do it regular but the greasy bits will burn off very...

From what I have read elsewhere the Hi-Lift gets mostly good reviews where as I have yet to find a word against the jack all. There's little said about the t-max although it is cheaper so it'd be harder to dissapoint. Suggestions on where to buy would be great too. Thanks

um, I had a farm jack on my sj and it was far from exact with its operation. Always kept it well greased but it rarely did as asked and you had to be wary of it. It will only see occasional use but it'd be nice to have something a little more usable... plus this truck it twice the weight.

Hey chaps, just an update. getting on ok filtering and de-watering lost a couple of suppliers so I'll be needing to find some more. Really struggled to get the car running in the coldest of mornings on 80% oil so I have twin tanked now using a trench rammer tank ontop of the arch in the rear...

Very clever, big machine needed to put that in, see how the chuck moves around as it is milling. That would need a different gearbox to do different size holes... Don't think we'll be seeing that in Aldi any time soon!
