    Hi, I used caps from a company called Dorman, had to get them from Amazon America as at the time couldn,t find them here, arrived very quickly though, I cant remember the exact sizes but I think the smaller was 1/4 and the larger was 5/16, please check though.

    Well it could be a lot worse belive it or not!! I have a couple of mates one with a 2010 3.6 TDV8 Range Rover and one with a 2011 4.4 TDV8 Range Rover and as they are both push button start, their insurance quotes recentley was £1300 and £1700!!!

    I think it was a combo of flat batteries and the lock gummed up through lack of use, must admit I have never tried mine in three years until yesterday!

    Update! he got in after prizing the top of the drivers open and looping a wire over the door handle, it seems that his good lady had left the headlights on, batteries totally flat, and as Tractionman suggested probably the door lock gummed up so couldn't open with the blade.

    Ah I see, yes the battery is new and is lighting up the little LED on the fob so the battery is good, replaced I believe as the old one had run out.

    Hi Karl, its the battery in the fob he has changed so the original key and fob, but now after changing the battery the fob or the key wont open the doors, totally locked out.

    Evening all, friend just phoned me saying he has changed fob battery and now cant open the doors either with the fob or manually with the key, nothing turning in the lock, almost like its the wrong key, he only has one key, any of you knowledgeable folks come across this before? cheers

    Very thorough Shayne, steam cleaned, old underseal removed, Dinitrol ML inhibitor, clear Dinitrol inside chassis box sections cavities and body panels,, then Dinitrol top coat.

As you can see there are four bolts holding it in on the side, the top rear is a t##t to get to, if you cut the heads of the bolts the remaining studs do come out, (well did on mine) Millners are best price for a new locker just under £500...
