2UZ-FE Valve shim removal tools?

Hey guys,

I am actually working on a 1UZ but many parts seem to be interchangeable so assumed it would be the same for the heads. I am wondering if there are any non Toyota tools available for removing shims with the cams still in? The Toyota tools, item number 09248-05410 and 09248-05021 are pretty pricey, around $200 just for the pliers ($35 for the other tool which is fine). Are there any other options? From looking around the only non Toyota tools I have found don't clear the camshaft on the UZ engines but seem to work on the rest of the Toyota range. Is it just a case of suck it up and pay $200 for the pliers?

It turns out Toyota has specified different tools for the 2UZ-FE. I thought I'd list the numbers below in case any of you guys needed them.

09248-55050 - Tool set of both pliers and valve stopper. The codes for the tools below:
* 09248-05510 - VALVE LIFTER PRESS
* 09248-05520 - VALVE LIFTER STOPPER (11MM & 13mm)

09248-66011-01 - Tool set of both pliers and valve stopper. The codes for the tools below:
* 09248-05510-01 - PLIER
* 09248-06020-01 - VALVE LIFTER GAUGE (9MM & 11mm)

They both list Landcruiser as the application with no further details to a specific model.
