Not much I can do till I have a look I suppose
Personally I prefer a non-modded one as you don't know why the modification
was done and if it was used in anger or not.
Another indication is lack of tow bar and electrics (unless its hidden, to
show if its been used as a pull car
There is a mint one driving round chorley (actually there are two) one as a
school run toy and another owned by a Sunday driver
Ohh the waste

The seller! The way he has treated the car will tell you just as much as
peeping under the bonnet. Did he buy it for the looks or technology? Was it
his toy or workhorse? Did he put his money in maintenance or bells and
whistles? Does he know what a bierfiled looks like? Let him talk and he will
reveal to you things you wouldn't discover yourself.
Not necessarily. All depends on the quality of work and if the guy who did
it knew what he was doing. The LC recently sold on ebay with 5"
lift and no mods to drivetrain was definitely a big no-no, but not every
owner is such a dork
