I've got a trashed fj60 that I'd like to bring back to life. It has relatively low miles at 167k.
I've no wheeling experience but i live in a land of very bad roads.
I'm inclined to refurbish my cruiser, but maybe i should part it out. I'm thinking of fixing it because the frame is straight and no rot. The engine has good compression and the transmission/transfer case and pumpkins seem good. The doors close solid. But other than that she'll need suspension work, brakes, all the pumps and belt driven things rebuilt/replaced, fenders, windshield, door handles, door interior, hood, grill, headlight frames, radiator, and probably more than that.
But, like i said, engine, drive train and frame are good.
So I'm trying to learn sourcing and prices for these parts. I can do the work, but it'd be nice to have this forum's knowledge base for labor.
I think I'll keep her once I'm done.
Kurt.
