Morning All,
Please sit up at the back and pay attention now.....
Please try to be more careful when replying to messages and only quote
bits of the messages that you are responding to, it isn't necessary to
quote the whole of the message, it makes a mess of the digest and is
also a waste of bandwidth. [An example of this is the recent thread on
Diff breathers and manuals.]
When starting a new thread/posting message with new subject, please
actually create a new message in your mail software and enter the
subject, rather than hitting reply when viewing an existing message and
then changing the subject to suit you - this makes a mess of the
threading and can lead to your messages getting ignored.
And finally, where possible when using corporate email accounts for
this list please try to avoid having long signatures and disclaimers at
the bottom of the messages - in most cases you should be able to
configure your email software to not send one to the ELCO mailing
address. Actually whilst you are at it try to send in text format
only.
