Not the best time of the year to work on cars outside, but anyone has planned work for your cruiser over the Xmas break? Since we need to be sensible with socialising… :)

I plan to sort out the Heated seat loom, got a set of leather seats installed a couple of years ago to replace my cloth one, the seller also gave my the heated switches but never get around installing it. with Help of this forum, especially @AndycruiserguyLomas , I managed to at least find the loose plug on the passenger front to plug the switch loom in, so will need to sort out the driver side one. As the existing plug only has 2 wires instead of 4.

Might sound silly but I will practice using jack and axle stands. If I could perfect the step of lifting car and place the stands to look what’s under the car, it’s big step for me as this is unknown territory for me. There’s a big gap between reading car magazines, forums and actually handling tools

Nothing silly about that Raj. Safe and correct jacking procedures and and the correct placing of stands are absolutely essential if you plan on working underneath the car, for obvious reasons, plus you'll have the confidence to get under there and just crack on with the job.

@Raj those are essential skills. And I will get some nice folding floor mat as well, for us home mechanic, than lying on cold floor or driveway. I also tend to put on my garage working pants (old and torn) and old fleece that I don’t mind get dirty because they will. Also head torch is essential even in daylight.

Depending on the surface the car is on, plus the clearance you have when it's up in the air, a car creeper can be very useful for moving around.

I bought myself a creeper because i'm usually lay on wet concrete but rarely use it for anything other than a quick look when there is no point in getting dirty yet . Everything seems to take so much longer using it , mostly because i can never find the tool i just put down ?

Well...... I've been putting off pressure washing the underside after towing a friend out of a very muddy predicament at the weekend!..... so I think, like you Raj, I might be needing to be lift the truck up on stands or ramps aswell. Coz it's certainly not a good idea to be leaving mud underneath this time of year.... holding on to all that rust assisting water!!!

Had two weeks left to take bfore the end of the year so....
Having started going away on my own for a week or two at a time, I decided to make some improvements to my set up.
Fed up of having to move stuff everytime ive forgotten to get something out of a drawer, ive decided to go higher, hopefully it'll work right. fridge is going behind the passenger seat.
The carpeted stuff is how it was, and the wooden stuff is the new build

Still making some cupboards for the gullwings, and need to wire/plumb in the electrics and water.

Yes TP creeper, that’s the word, evening I logged into Amazon to buy something for garage but didn’t get that word so left it. Will order that too

probable a long overdue front knuckle rebuild.

cvs are clicking, disks are warped, calipers pistons are sticking and bearings are rumbling.. will speedi sleeve the other half shaft too, as the other side worked great.

I'm away but I am hoping to find time around new year to sort my radiator and heating issues.

I also have a pair of lower ball joints to fit.
